2nd EAA Environment & LCA Workshop

The European Aluminium Association is organising its 2nd  Environment Workshop together this year with a Life Cycle Assessment Session. We would like to invite the European aluminium industry’s environmental representatives to this event taking place in Brussels on Tuesday 10 & Wednesday 11 June 2008.

The workshop is intended for people working with environmental issues at plant level, company environment experts and plant line management responsible for environmental issues.

The two-day programme has been planned in order to provide an overview of developing EU legislation and our industry’s input to it, climate gas emissions and REACH. Breakout-session on waste handling and transport will take place during the workshop. The program will cover issues of interest both for the upstream, downstream and recycling parts of the industry. We have also included a special session on Life Cycle Assessment to introduce a larger section of the industry to this theme and give an introduction to the use of this. The workshop is also arranged so as to provide participants with ample opportunities to improve their network connections through informal discussions and with a cocktail reception at the end of the first day.

The venue is set downtown Brussels at Hotel BRISTOL STEPHANIE*****, Avenue Louise, 91-93 (http://www.bristol.be/).
