Awarded multi-lingual interactive web-based modular resources on aluminium science and technology
The main objective of this initiative is to offer a highly innovative, web-based and interactive multimedia learning resources for students at university or technical college as well as engineers or technicians in the industry.
aluMATTER has been awarded twice by the European commission in 2006 and 2007 for its quality and excellence in developing e-learning modules incorporating valuable pedagogical approaches for interactive simulations of the processes in the industry
These e-learning resources supplement regular teaching courses at universities and fulfils distant learning requirements. The web structure is designed to allow the content to be accessed via three different "entry points": Products/applications, Processing and Physical Metallurgy. The aim is to allow users with different interests to access the material in a context relevant to their own requirements. Nine modules are currently available in English from which six modules are available in Dutch, French and German.
In order to promote the aluMATTER website, an aluMATTER leaflet (see aluMATTER leaflet.pdf) and an aluMATTER poster (A1 format, see aluMATTER poster.pdf) have been developed. If you would like to receive these items, please visit the free publication area.
