The European Aluminium Association’s activities in the field of education are designed to promote the sustainable development of aluminium technologies across Europe. With the help of the national associations and its industrial members, the EAA aims to transfer and disseminate knowledge of aluminium technologies. To achieve this objective, the chief focus of the EAA is on:

The development of a European educational network in the field of aluminium,
The promotion and the creation of modern web-based educational materials in the field of aluminium technologies.

These activities are supported by the EAA's Education and Technology Committee (ETC) & the aluMATTER Working Group on which the main European aluminium industries and national aluminium associations are represented.

As a response to the lack of technicians, engineers and designers with good skills and knowledge of aluminium technologies, the European Aluminium Association has developed a web platform in the field of aluminium material science and technology. This freely accessible educational platform is based on 3 project initiatives, which will help you to learn more about this light metal.

These efforts of the European Aluminium industry to promote education have been acknowledged by the European Commission through two awards received in 2006 and 2007
