Whether to make a car or a plane lighter, more environment-friendly and safer, or to build more durable structures offering higher energy efficiency and requiring less maintenance, or to preserve foods and beverages fresh over longer periods while minimising packaging weight for less polluting transport, aluminium not only helps reduce the carbon footprint of our everyday life, but it also suits every need of both engineers and designers. Besides, its being lightweight, strong and hermetic allows  for more and more efficient products to be produced using less and less material: today, it barely takes 15 grams of aluminium to package 0,33l beverages for safe storage, efficient transport and convenient consumption, followed by easy collection and efficient recycling.
